This family is getting a sparkling brand new pool and they needed an equally radiant landscape design plan to complete their edible backyard oasis. We started by relocating a few small trees which enabled us to surround the pool with evergreens adding tropical color while being relatively low litter. By extending the pool decking and using it as a walkthrough to the garden path we were able to squeeze in a new fireplace area, 88 edible trees and plants, and provide a custom temporary shade sail for the pool and some must have tropicals until they’re ready to grow into full sun. Once the landscape develops, the canopy will provide the homeowners with all the shade they need and plenty of fruit too, of course! We used rare tropical fruit trees, stone fruits, citrus, herbs, edible flowers, grasses, and bamboo to create this tropical and productive urban oasis, all on less than a 1/4 acre lot.
